Grants from foundations and individual donors, combined with the modest fees our media outlets are able to pay, are supporting the important work of Round Earth Media.
There may be no tighter news organization roaming the earth, but we still depend on your contributions to produce our stories. Your donations are tax-deductible and make a great difference in how much reporting we can do.
Donations from individuals – in any amount — make possible grants from important national foundations.
We are proud to have the confidence of these, our major funders:
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation
The Minneapolis Foundation
The Stanley Foundation
You may choose to provide general support, or to direct your funding toward a specific theme or region of the world.

Why do our supporters contribute to Round Earth Media?
Here’s what one of our individual donors has to say:
Over the past few years we have chosen to make significant donations to Round Earth Media because of our belief that we in the United States cannot and do not live without connection to the world. To have a journalistic voice that is aware and specifically focused on reporting on the consequences of U.S. policy and actions in places far away from our shores and often totally out of our scope of attention is vital. Round Earth is such a voice. To have this voice investigate and report objectively, and in a way that is of interest to a broad spectrum of American citizens, is a great strength. We support Round Earth because we care about the world, our actions in the world, and the implications of those actions for our lives here. Keep up the good work!
