Round Earth stories span media platforms: broadcasting, the web and print.

All of Round Earth’s content meets public media standards and ethics, and is created and vetted by trained journalists. Programs that distribute our stories and multimedia include the following.

Public broadcasting which reaches millions of listeners nationwide who are uniquely influential, including large numbers of policymakers, educators, voters and business leaders.

  • Marketplace and the Marketplace Morning Report - heard by more than 8 million people each week, more than any other business program on radio or television.
  • PRI’s The World - a daily global news program that brings international news to an American audience and reaches 2 million listeners each week.
  • Studio 360 – a weekly show about art and culture which reaches beyond the traditional news demographic.
  • Living on Earth - a weekly environmental news and information program that airs on 300 Public Radio stations, reaching 80% of the public radio market in the United States.
  • The Splendid Table - a culinary, culture, and lifestyle program that airs on 200 stations nationwide and on satellite radio.
  • The Environment Report – an award winning news service providing coverage of the environment for public radio stations nationwide.
  • FRONTLINE/World – a national public TV series that turns its lens on the global community, covering countries and cultures rarely seen on American television.  FRONTLINE/World publishes our stories on their award-winning website.

70+commercial TV web sites nationwide: NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox and Telemundo. Fifteen million people visit these sites each month; 900,000 of them are Hispanics. Stations range from network affiliates in the largest markets (New York, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco) to smaller markets, such as Madison, Wisconsin, El Paso, Texas and Monterey, California.

The award winning World Vision Report, a weekend newsmagazine and daily feature show focusing on global issues and events affecting the world’s poorest children and families. The show emphasizes solutions for tackling world poverty. The World Vision Report airs on 300 mostly Christian radio stations nationwide. Thirty five percent of its audience is African American.

The web. In addition to providing broadcast content for public and commercial outlets, we “push” high-quality stories out to audiences where they are, reaching and engaging growing cross-national audiences. We are building upon the power of online media to spread content to diverse places and people.
